With the help of the Ariel (the Reverend’s daughter) and Willard, Ren convinces the Reverend to let the teenagers dance & in the process helps the town to heal from a tragedy that affected them all. The River of Light Lantern Parade is a fabulous festive parade through Caerphilly town centre, followed by a spectacular fireworks display above the skies of Caerphilly Castle. The parade starts at Caerphilly Train & Bus Station Park & Ride, then flows through the town to the rear of Caerphilly Castle (Crescent Road). Participants will be accompanied by dancers and bands creating a sea of colour through the town. Bring your lantern along and take part in this annual event. This is the fourth and final autumn international to be played by Wales in 2017. That surprise hit was named International Folk Music Award’s “Song of the Year”! So we are pleased to annouce that the only Stray Birds gig in Wales in 2017 is to be held at St Donat’s Arts Centre.

As outsiders from sleepy coastal towns several countries apart, Stephen Fitzpatrick from Barrow in Furness and Norwegian Audun Laading met for the first time in Liverpool as students. The pair bonded over a love of peculiar, sardonic humour and wide eyed observations. Dream-pop outfit Her’s is the natural extension to the solitary decoding of the cultures they grew up in. Together they create 80s indie influenced songs with nods to Orange Juice and the capriciousness of Ariel Pink-ish pop. Their debut album Songs of Her's is out now.
